Emtech Enhancements allows you to buy products, participate in polls, receive e-mail newsletters, receive e-mails or other promotional information from us, and sign up to enter competitions. We use the information that we collect about you to fulfill your product purchases and to create a more personalized online experience.

What information does Emtech Enhancements collect, and how is it used?

In order to continually provide you with the best online shopping experience we may require that you first provide certain personal information, which we determine is reasonably necessary in order for us to fulfill your request. Such as when you order a product, register for our e-mail newsletters, special promotions, competitions, fill out surveys, and send us feedback. This information may include but not limited to: your name, billing/shipping address, telephone number, e-mail address or payment information. This information will allow us to personalise your service, fill your order and better serve you. Any personal information which we collect from you will only be used for the purposes identified in this Privacy Agreement. We may at times sponsor competitions to give you the opportunity to win prizes. Your participation in these contests is entirely optional. Information we collect for such competitions can include but is not limited to contact and demographic information. We may also at times conduct polls or surveys via the website, e-mail or the phone number you provide us with, your participation of these is also optional. When you provide information to Emtech Enhancements, the information is stored in our databases; such information is used by Emtech Enhancements in accordance with this Privacy Agreement. The information we collect is used to tailor your experience at our site, to show you content that we think you might be interested in, and to display the content according to your preferences. We also use such personal information to send you information and promotional materials. We do not store your credit card information on our database, instead our credit card processing is in the hands of Verisign Australia, a trusted name im credit card processing.

With who is the information shared?

At times we may hire a third party to act on our behalf for projects such as advertising, market research surveys and competition entry processing, and we will provide information to these third parties specifically for use in connection with these projects. The information we provide to such third parties will be protected by a confidentiality agreement that will obligate the third party to use such information solely to complete the specific project. In addition to the circumstances described above, Emtech Enhancements fully cooperates with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services for illegal activities. We reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we believe to be unlawful. We may, to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation, without prior notice to you, disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, as requested by other government or law enforcement authorities, or in the good faith belief that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable, including (without limitation) when we have reason to believe that disclosing the information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing interference with our rights or properties, whether intentionally or otherwise, or when anyone else could be harmed by such activities.

Cookies

Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognise your browser and to provide personalised service, and storage of items in your Shopping Cart between visits. In the Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. However, cookies make your use of the site easier, allow you to retrieve an earlier shopping cart, make the site run more smoothly and help us to maintain a secure site. You will be unable to shop on our site without your browser set to accept cookies.

IP Addresses

When you visit our website, we and our Internet Service Provider may record your IP address and information on the type of operating system (e.g. Windows98) and browser software (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape) you are using. This helps us to diagnose problems with servers and for system administration. Your IP address is also used to help gather aggregated demographic information.

Tell a Friend

While visiting Emtech Automotive, if you elect to use our referral service to inform a friend about our site, we ask for your friend’s name and email address. Emtech Automotive collects the email address of your friend for the sole purpose of automatically sending the friend an email inviting them to visit the site and does not store this information.

Privacy Policy changes

If Emtech Enhancements makes changes to any terms or conditions of this Privacy Agreement, the changes will be posted in this document. We may change, modify, add or remove portions of this Agreement at any time, and any changes will become effective immediately upon being posted unless we tell you otherwise. Please be aware that on our site we may have advertisements and links to other websites that may collect personal information about you. This Privacy Agreement does not cover the information practices or policies of such websites. We encourage you to read the privacy agreements of all such sites, as their policies may be materially different from the ones covered in our Privacy Agreement.
